EVme Plus Co., Ltd. (EVme) has expanded its VIP EV taxi service to Phuket International Airport 

To promote the "Green Airport" concept under the collaboration with Phuket International Airport. This initiative provides travellers with a new, eco-friendly transportation option that reduces air pollution and ensures comfortable and faster connections to various tourist destinations across Phuket province.

According to the Pollution Control Department, in 2023, Phuket province emitted approximately 2.65 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e), with 37% of these emissions coming from the transportation sector. Replacing fossil fuel-powered vehicles with EV taxis will significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This initiative also supports the operation of Thai airports under the "Green Airport" concept, enhancing the airport's environmental management, resource, and energy efficiency.

In the initial phase, EVme will provide 50 VIP EV taxis, using the AION ES model. These vehicles produce zero emissions from engine combustion and offer a spacious rear trunk with a capacity of up to 450 liters without additional baggage charges. Passengers can access the VIP EV taxi service at Domestic Terminal's Public Transportation Center. The service charges according to the meter, starting at 150 THB for the first 2 kilometers, with an additional airport taxi fee of 100 THB as stipulated by the Ministry of Transport.
